It's a snap! Screensnap that is.

As the majority of British Columbians are well aware, beginning on September 13th you will need to show proof of vaccination to access a variety of events, services and businesses as designated by our Provincial Health Organization. Staff at these venues will ask to view your BC Vaccine card and a piece of valid government photo identification.

Now the pressing question. How do I obtain my official BC Vaccine Card? Simply follow these steps:

  • Log in securely to the BC Health Gateway portal

  • Enter your Personal Health Number, Date of Birth and Date of your Vaccination (either first or second dose)

  • Save or print a copy of your official vaccination card

To save a digital copy to your phone or tablet, you will need to take a screenshot and save the image to either your photo album or downloads folder. Depending on your device, you can create a shortcut to save you time when producing your card.

Ready to download your card? In addition to providing your date of birth, Personal Health Number and the date you received your first or second dose, you will need a large supply of patience. Currently, the BC Health Gateway is experiencing heavy traffic volumes. As a result, from September 13 - 26 you can produce a paper copy of your immunization record as proof of vaccination. The deadline to obtain your official BC Vaccine Card has been extended to September 27th.
